Agave powder is made from the sap of the agave plant (various species, e.g.Agave tequilana), which is traditionally grown in Mexico. The sap is extracted from the core of the plant (the so-called piña), processed and turned into a sweet nectar/syrup, which in the “powder” product is dried into a powder form.
Ideal for coffee, tea, smoothies and snacks, as well as for desserts and baked goods at home. Agave powder is especially convenient to add to dry mixes and recipes where you want sweetness without stickiness:
